About 180 Steeles Avenue West Condos

Announcing the arrival of yet another big high-density residential development in Vaughan.
Vaughan’s 180 Steeles Avenue West Condos is a brand new Master-Planned Community. Meanwhile, Mizrahi Developments and Constantine Enterprises have a new pre-construction project at 180 Steeles Ave W, near the Yonge and Steeles intersection. In addition, there are a total of 2,080 residential units in four high-rise towers and two mid-rise towers.

The proposed site currently lies on an existing commercial u-shaped retail plaza space.  In additional residential construction might be better serviced for population intensification in the region. Its proximity to the projected Yonge Subway Extension (which will include a new ‘Steeles Station’) will make it an ideal location for the high-density use that this development proposes.

The aims of the Yonge-Steeles Corridor Secondary Plan (YSCSP), which is presently under consideration and encourages the type of densities and heights established by this new construction, are aligned with 180 Steeles Avenue West Condos.


The land is about 1,100 meters from the Steeles Avenue and Yonge Street intersection, which is a zone with intensification targets in the York Region Official Plan. Furthermore, the goal for greater intensification in this area is consistent with the Greater Golden Horseshoe Growth Plan’s larger density ambitions (GGH).

This property will replace a commercial retail plaza with parking areas in order to establish a high-density mixed-use development that meets residential needs through four high-rise towers and two mid-rise towers with ground-level commercial office and retail space.

This construction, which is located along a proposed Regional Rapid Transit Corridor that would encourage more active walking, cycling, and public transportation. In addition to this will increase residential intensification. In addition, this new construction would also make it easier to reach retail and commercial amenities without driving because there would be more accessible and pedestrian-friendly access to a range of mixed-use commercial areas.

Location and Neighbourhood

The proposed towers will offer a range of suite sizes to accommodate a wide range of demographics. Steeles Avenue West Condos has a lot to offer new residents in terms of neighbourhood amenities. Centrepoint Mall, located at the intersection of Yonge Street and Steeles Avenue West. Only a 5-minute walk from the property, is directly across the street. The mall features a variety of store areas and is a popular neighbourhood hangout for locals. Also within 2.5 kilometres of the property are three libraries.  They are Thornhill Village Library, Thornhill Library, and Bathurst Clark Resource Library in Vaughan.

It will be considerably easier to walk and access to public transportation. It takes only 10 minutes.  Meanwhile, this walk to the corner of Yonge and Steeles, and the TTC, York Region Transit (YRT), and GO Transit. Also, a 10-minute drive north on Yonge brings cars to Highway 407 ETR. While a less than 15-minute trip connects drivers to Highway 401.
This location will also be ideal for students wishing to enroll in post-secondary education. York University is only a 12-minute drive away.

Vaughan is Canada’s 17th most populous city, with a growing population that will require sufficient housing. This project by Mizrahi Development will serve to meet the area’s requirements.  This is for intensification and set the path for the region’s future expansion.
