We are pleased to announce that we submitted our first Official Plan Amendment (OPA) and Zoning By-Law Amendment (ZBA) Applications on October 29, 2021. You can review the entire submission package here, and it is also available on the City of Toronto Development Applications Portal. The proposed development includes the retention of the two historic buildings on site, a large new public plaza, and two residential towers connected by a new podium that contains a new sanctuary/performance hall for the Weston Park Baptist Church, a full-size gymnasium, and many flexible community spaces.

We have prepared this short animation to illustrate the key elements of our proposed development! Please note that at this OPA and ZBL stage of the approvals process all the renderings are illustrative. Material palette and other design details will determine in the subsequent Site Plan Approval stage.

Our Community Liaison, Marilyn McCrea, and our other team members continue to connect with community stakeholders to learn about the neighbourhood, their aspirations, and how we can support the community as we move towards recovering from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

Weston Park Development

Castlepoint Weston Limited Partnership pleased to announce the redevelopment of the lands at 1871 and 1885 Weston Road. Moreover, the Weston Park Baptist Church and the former Scotiabank building properties. This redevelopment is a joint partnership between the Weston Park Baptist Church and Castlepoint Numa.

We aim to revitalize the site by creating a mixed use development which will support the existing church spaces and programs while introducing a variety of new uses, including residential, commercial and community/ recreational uses.

Our community facilitator, Marilyn McCrea, has been speaking with several community members and stakeholders over the last three months. A summary of key messages that we have heard from these initial discussions can be accessed here. She and other members of the team will continue to connect with community stakeholders to learn about the neighbourhood, their aspirations. In addition how we can support the community as we move towards recovering from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
