Miami Worldcenter Block A - In the eastern part of Miami Worldcenter Block A in downtown Miami. It renderings for 1016 Northeast 2nd Avenue, a proposed 65-story mixed-use skyscraper, have been released. The 700-foot-tall structure would produce 1,288,063 square feet of space. It includes 786 residential units, nearly 36,000 square feet of amenities, 3,611 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and 591 parking spaces.
Arquitectonica with Kimley-Horn serving as the civil engineer designed and EDSA serving as the landscape architect. Naftali Group, a global real estate development and investment firm based in New York developed. The 1.02-acre site is located next to the elevated platform of the Eleventh Street Metromover Station. In addition, bordered to the south and north by Northeast 10th and 11th Streets and to the east by Northeast 2nd Avenue. The Urban Development Review Board (UDRB) in Miami will consider the project on April 19, 2023, and the developer is presently working to get it approved.
In contrast to the conventional rectangular form, the tower's design has a distinctive structural profile with rounded corners and subdued horizontal lines adorning all elevations. In classic Arquitectonica style, the balconies on the east and west-facing facades purposefully divided into distinct lines in the renderings. Furthermore, giving the building a textured aspect typical of the company's iconic tower designs. Levels 44 and 45, where the structure is split into lower and upper portions, are particularly significant for this divide. The building's lower section splits out from the central tower, stretching to the southeast corner of the platform, before reintegrating into the main structure from which the upper tower rises. This cutting-edge design strategy gives the structure a contemporary and alluring look. Moreover, that serves as a representation of the vibrant architectural landscape of downtown Miami.
The exterior materials were carefully selected to go along with the tower's remarkable design and enhance its distinctive look. A beautiful combination of tinted and transparent glass, glass balconies, light grey smooth stucco walls and silver aluminium mullions. These are all elements of the structure. The terrace floors have wood ceilings, which give the modern building a warm feel. The podium decorated with light bronze perforated metal panels, green walls, and a mesh screen. It is important to note that the podium facade departs from a structurally flushed appearance. Moreover, it displays a diverse shape that adds to the building's overall visual appeal.
